Merritt College COVID-19 Update

Good afternoon, Merritt College.

I am writing to inform you that this morning (Friday, January 21, 2022) a Merritt employee reported a positive COVID test to the district office. Those who have been exposed directly have been identified, and the proper procedures are being followed (in this case, the service area in question is being sanitized and temporarily shut down).

While privacy guidelines preclude me from providing you with any identifying information, please know that I have apprised the PCCD Office of Human Resources Office of the positive test result so that the information can be shared with the Alameda County Public Health Department and Cal/OSHA.

In compliance with our district guidelines, I will continue to report COVID-19 cases to you in our ongoing efforts to keep everyone safe and informed.
