Dear Peralta Community,
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at noon Pacific Daylight Time, the Peralta Community College District will be testing our emergency communication system, Rave Alert by Rave Mobile Safety (https://www.ravemobilesafety.com/products/rave-alert/). The Rave system lets us quickly contact students and employees by telephone, SMS text, and email in an emergency and provide safety instructions.
Good morning, Merritt Family,
I am writing to inform you that this morning I learned that an individual tested positive for COVID-19. Per CDC and ACPHD guidelines, this person will remain off campus for at least five days from the date of the positive test result (which was yesterday, April 2) and may return once they are no longer symptomatic. The person reported that they were on campus Tuesday, April 2.
Dear Laney Community:
As a reminder, the campus will be closed to students, employees, and the public from Sunday the 24th through Monday, April 1 (Cesar Chavez holiday) due to a PG&E shutdown.
There will be a power shutoff to perform electrical work for the New Transportation Technology Center (NTTC). To perform this work, the campus will be closed for two days on Friday, 3/29, and Saturday, 3/30, as there will be no power to the campus.
