Vaccine Policy

*Faculty and staff are required to have shown proof of vaccination (or have submitted requests for exceptions) by October 7, 2021.

*Students taking 100% online classes are not required to upload vaccination proof unless they come to campus for any reason.

Vaccination Opportunities

  • Register HERE for vaccination via Alameda County Public Health Department.

Campus Access

  • Students are required to submit their vaccination status in Campus Solutions (where enrollment, fees, financial aid, grades, etc. are managed)

  • Employees should use the Employee Health Tracker module in PeopleSoft at https://hcm.peralta.edu/ > Employee Self Service > Employee Health Tracker to submit their daily screening survey and to document their vaccination and/or testing status. For faculty and staff wishing to be exempt from the vaccine policy, fill out the appropriate forms below and submit them via the PeopleSoft Employee Health Tracker. For questions re: uploading, contact helpdesk@peralta.edu. For any other questions, contact hr@peralta.edu

If your exemption is accepted, you will then need to take weekly COVID-19 tests and upload the results to Campus Solutions. Testing will be provided on campus, free of charge (info above). Weekly testing results should be entered into the PeopleSoft Employee Health Tracker.

COVID-19 Testing

  • Alameda County offers free COVID-19 testing services. Please visit their Community Testing Calendar for locations and information.

  • Roots Clinic offers free COVID-19 testing Mondays 9:30 am - 2:30 pm, and Thursdays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm at 9925 International Blvd, Oakland, CA 94603 (pre-register here)

  • In partnership with Carbon Health, the City of Berkeley is standing up a testing site behind City Hall located at 2180 Milvia (corner of Center & Milvia). Testing services will be available Monday through Friday from 9:00-4:00. Walk-ups are welcome. To save time, creating an account and scheduling an appointment using this link is highly encouraged.
